Think of financial strategy, budgeting precision, profitability analysis, and regulatory alignment. As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving NETOPIA’s financial performance, ensuring rigorous budget execution, evaluating business line profitability, and monitoring capital adequacy (own funds) as we scale our position as an authorized Payment Institution by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The ideal candidate must have:

• Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related economic field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in financial control, financial analysis, or financial audit.
• Specialized Knowledge: Advanced background in financial analysis, budgeting, capital management, and business planning (including strategic planning, resource allocation, and cost accounting).
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of MS Office (especially Excel) and hands-on experience with financial accounting systems / ERPs.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• Soft Skills & Mindset: Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong team collaboration, results-driven attitude with quick problem-solving capabilities, proactive mindset, and a high level of personal integrity.

Responsabilități

Your responsibilities will include:

• Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Collaborate across all divisions and departments to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the annual budget, aligning it with company strategic objectives and risk appetite.
• Budget Execution & Monitoring: Track monthly budget execution, verify compliance with the approved annual budget, and proactively flag any potential overruns.
• Financial Performance & Reporting: Prepare monthly financial performance reports and deliver detailed profitability analyses for business lines, products, and development projects to executive management.
• Own Funds & Capital Adequacy: Calculate the company’s own funds and prepare management reports regarding current and forecasted capital adequacy levels.
• Pricing & Cost Structure Support: Support the approval and implementation of pricing strategies and associated cost structures (including transaction fees, commissions, and external distribution channel remunerations).
• Variable Compensation Schemes: Prepare simulations and analytical reports for approving variable remuneration schemes for sales and operational staff, ensuring strict alignment with the approved budget.
